Adolescence
a lil poem i wrote abt overcoming my eating disorder
All those days I measured myself against their shine,
Days blurred with hunger I mistook for being fine.
Oh, but sunlight still found me, gentle and true,
Laughter from friends painting my grey skies blue.
Evenings with novels, I drown in romance,
See myself softly through each second chance.
Choosing to grow at my own tender pace,
Each golden hour feels like finding grace.
Now I breathe easier, my heart in rhyme,
Collecting slow summers, rewriting my time.
Every page, every breath hums- I am my way back.
